About me
This site is a chronicle of my work, a record of my experience. Here, I publish tips I wish I could have shared with myself years ago.
The Beginning
In the beginning, I didn’t have a computer. I started by learning, in theory, how desktop programs were organized. I avidly studied everything related to PCs, buying newspapers to stay informed. This was in the early 2000s.
I got my first computer in 2004 – a Duron 800 with 256 MB of RAM, a 20 GB hard disk, and running Windows 98. That's when I became a techno-geek.
First Publications
In 2005, I started collaborating with computer media. At the time, options were limited. My first article appeared on ixbt.com.
Over time, I became a regular contributor to ixbt, where I had my own column featuring reviews of Windows, Android, and various hardware.
During this period, I also worked as a freelance writer for the Russian editions of ixbt.com and Hacker magazine.
Websites
I began blogging about technology during the days of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, covering topics ranging from Windows XP to the evolution of Android.
As desktop platforms began to decline, I shifted my focus to mobile apps. In 2015, my work started appearing on softdroid.net, including reviews of mobile applications and various how-to guides (e.g., recovering data on phones, fixing software bugs).
For the past few years, I have specialized in data recovery.
What I Know
I’ve been repairing iOS and Android devices and troubleshooting technical issues for about 15 years.
I’ve worked with almost all popular smartphone and tablet brands, including Samsung, HTC, Xiaomi, and others.
Currently, I use an iPhone 16 and a Samsung Galaxy S21, both running the latest firmware.
I specialize in web technologies, Android mobile applications, desktop operating systems, and data recovery.
